Bassano Del Grappa’s population today amounts to 41.000 people. Situated in the north east of Italy in the Venetian region, 70 Km north west of the regional capital Venice, in the province of Vicenza beside the Pre-Alps. Its most renowned historical monument is the Bridge of the Alpini, emblem of Bassano Del Grappa.
Bassano is divided by the river Brenta and Mount Grappa from which derives its name, Two locally produced products “Grappa” (alcoholic beverage) along with “white asparagus” the second emblem of Bassano are both renowned world wide.
